Hearing Aids: Sales and Service

We dispense and service a wide selection of digital hearing aids from a variety of manufacturers. Designed with computer technology to match a person’s hearing loss, today’s aids are more complex and effective than in the past. Features can be offered as needed, including noise reduction and directional technology for listening in noisy situations, and telephone programs for improved phone communications. We will assist you in selecting an aid that fits your individual needs within your budget.

Comprehensive Audiological Evaluations

The audiometric evaluation consists of testing with both pure tones and speech. Testing with pure tones is done to determine the amount of hearing loss for volume. More importantly, speech discrimination scores are obtained to estimate the loss of the ear’s ability to fine-tune sounds. Speech testing is performed both in quiet environments and with background noise to assess both hearing abilities.

Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs)

Sometimes hearing aids are not the complete answer to communication difficulties. There are many other devices available to help you in your most difficult listening environments. These devices include television listening systems, special doorbells, vibrating alarm clocks, amplified telephones that really work, mobile phone solutions, and many others. We encourage you to talk to us about all of your listening difficulties and visit our link at Accessories.

Tinnitus Evaluation and Management

Tympanometry
Immittance of the tympanic membrane and middle ear is measured as varying air pressure is delivered to the ear canal.

Baseline hearing evaluations for hearing conservation and oncology treatments.
