"Over the past year, I lost the hearing in my right ear and partially lost hearing in my left ear. My journey to deal with this loss started with a hearing test with Dr. Smith at Audiology Center of Southlake. Although I was discouraged, she reassured me throughout the process. After two surgeries, I began researching hearing aids, but there were so many brands and types that I didnt know where to start. I discussed my needs with Dr. Smith and her knowledge of all the products made my choice simple; I just had to pick the color. She was very patient with me as we worked through the programming of the hearing aids. The digital aids are complex, but her knowledge of the computer programs that control them is amazing. We gradually added different programs that gave me more control and made it easy to understand.
